Join the Disability-Inclusive Climate Network

The Disability-Inclusive Climate Network brings together persons with disabilities, Indigenous and community leaders, climate experts, policymakers, innovators, development partners, funders and advocates from across the Pacific and beyond.

Help shape a more inclusive climate future

Whether you bring lived experience, technical expertise, research, policy, finance or community leadership, we invite you to join this growing community of practice and contribute to a shared agenda for disability-inclusive climate action.

Join the Network today and be part of a growing movement advancing disability-inclusive climate action through Pacific leadership.

The Opportunity

People with disabilities are disproportionately affected by climate change, yet their expertise, lived experience and leadership are too often absent from climate policy, planning, finance and implementation. The Pacific has a wealth of community knowledge, innovation and leadership that can help reshape how climate action is designed and delivered.
The Disability-Inclusive Climate Champions Network creates a practical mechanism to connect these strengths by bringing together people with disabilities and OPDs with climate scientists, engineers, innovators, policymakers, governments, funders and development partners.

The Network builds directly from the Reimagining Disability-Inclusive Climate Action Pre-COP session, which calls for a new multi-sectoral community of practice to strengthen systems, forge partnerships and identify priorities for future investment and action. It also provides a platform for continued collaboration leading into COP31 in Türkiye and beyond

Purpose

The Network will:

  • CONNECT people, organisations and ideas across disability and climate sectors.
  • AMPLIFY Pacific lived experience, community knowledge and disability leadership.
  • INNOVATE by bringing technical expertise, science, technology and lived experience together.
  • INFLUENCE climate policy, planning and investment.
  • MOBILISE partnerships, resources and action.
