The Global Disability Fund (GDF) presents Situational Analyses and Lessons from 51 Countries on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A global synthesis report drawing on 51 national situational analyses, providing the most comprehensive global picture of CRPD implementation to date. Developed with governments, UN entities, and OPDS, the report shows
- why disability rights remain unrealized,
- where progress is happening,
- and what is needed next.
This global report is central to GDF’s approach to evidence-based, results-focused programming, which centers on national situational analyses conducted jointly with governments, UN entities, and OPDs to assess CRPD progress and identify key inclusion gaps. These analyses form the foundation for designing stronger, more disability-inclusive programmes across countries and regions.
Alongside the full report, the GDF has also produced the Global Situational Analyses: Synthesis Brief and Strategic Implications. This synthesis brief outlines key actions required from governments, UN Country Teams, OPDs, and development partners to accelerate disability-inclusive development. The brief also shows how we are translating evidence into action through our 2025–2030 strategy, driving transformative pathways of change and accelerating CRPD implementation as we approach CRPD@20.
